Ocd - dont look back in anger

How is it that an OCD sufferer can never leave a room or walk through a door without looking back?

Why do we fight the urge to look back? Well let me tell you? It is because we find ourselves going back to fluff up the cushions, god only knows how many times the doors are checked to see if they are locked before retiring to bed, that trickle of glistening water on the draining board needs to be wiped. No matter how tired we are someone has to straighten the rug or dust the television. Whatever it takes for peace of mind an OCD victim will do it.

Actions of an over OCD sufferer is very similar to that of Feng Shui followers, where prosperity energy and good luck comes to those if objects/furniture is placed in the right location. Our daily habits are duplicated in a similar manner only we do not seek prosperity and luck it is that of peace and contentment.

Over compulsive disorder is recognized as a disability it is one of the top ten causes that destroys a person physically/mentally.

Approx over 5 million US citizens will develop it if not already suffer from OCD.

What is so frightening about over compulsive disorder is not to know the statistics behind it all.

Fatigue is a major factor that leaves us so lethargic all because our brain focuses on the next chore before we start the first.

Children can develop OCD and have obsessive rituals like keeping toys in order, teens also fall under the spell.

Mum/dad if you notice any change in your child's behaviour then get help fast. If left to fester then this disease will spread out of control. The early bird catches the worm, nip it in the bud.

I am not sure of any proven cure but help is out there to ease the stress, OCD is serious, it murders the mind.

A recent research proved children in their preschool years have a strong chance of developing OCD. Most adults battling OCD will have been affected since in their teens.

Repetitive thoughts and odd behaviour as some outsiders would see it become a part of our life where it takes over our life

Obsessions and compulsions is where a victim experiences disturbing thoughts and ideas?

These senseless and stressful symptoms are enough to destroy the sane. To ease anxiety we get an urge to repeat some actions over and over again.

OCD is a part of me where I can not imagine life without it. What would I do if ever this condition was to take leave?

I would live life to the full and walk down the road of freedom with a promise to myself that I will never look back.

The effect the current subprime loan crisis has on global markets

Dear Fellow-Investor.

"Why is it, that this subprime loan crisis has such a rippling effect on many sectors of the economy?"

"Why are even companies outside the USA also affected by the U. S. mortgage crisis?"

In the last 7 days I received lots of emails from my subscribers asking me questions like these, and I'd like to take the opportunity to explain what this housing, mortgage, subprime loan, credit crisis - whatever you want to call it - and the present situation is all about.

Between 2002 and 2004 the interest rates in the United States were as low as never before. At least as far as I can remember. I'm not that old yet! The effect of such low interest rates was a real-estate boom in the U. S. often financed with so-called subprime loans. These are loans given to borrowers who do not qualify for the best market interest rates because of their deficient credit history.

Subprime lending encompasses a variety of credit instruments, including subprime mortgages, subprime car loans, and subprime credit cards, among others. The term "subprime" refers to the credit status of the borrower (being less than ideal), not the interest rate on the loan itself.

But banks didn't worry too much about this because interest rates were low and simultaneously, real-estate prices were rising continuously in the 90's.

So back in 2002/2004, anyone that could count to 3 was given a loan. Many people in America were suddenly able to afford expensive single family homes and other kind of real-estate that they couldn't before.

But in 2006 the U. S. interest rates had tripled and now, especially the subprime borrowers couldn't pay their monthly installments anymore. So more and more of these subprime loans started to crumble.

But that's not all. Some banks and other financial institutionals converted millions of these subprime loans into bonds. These were then sold for billions of dollars to banks, insurance companies and mutual funds that assumed this to be a secure investment because bonds usually are. That's why they're also considered a safe haven in stormy times.

And not only were these bonds sold to U. S. institutionals, but International ones too. You see, in a nutshell, everyone invests everywhere. America invests in Europe, and Europe invests in America, etc, etc.!

So you can imagine what happened when these loans started to crumble and the practice of converting them into bonds backfired. It all swept over the borders of America into other countries as well. The German industrial bank IKB invested 13 billion dollars in these bonds and now they are looking at a $5 billion loss.

For years this subprime game turned out all right and gigantic amounts of cash were invested into real-estate in Florida, Delaware or Texas by U. S. and international equity markets. No one thought that so many borrowers would go broke at the same time.

According to the U. S.Federal Reserve, loans of up to 100 billion dollars could bounce. At the same time, this seems to just be a drop in the ocean considering the effect it could have on international capital markets.

These bad loans could be the biggest single risk for the global economy. In the past, many in America spent their money stout-heartedly thus, stimulating and cranking up the economy. Their houses became worth more and more and banks literally threw loans at customers with low interest rates.

This could all backfire now putting a lot of pressure on the U. S. economy, because the money that was spent so generously is now being held back. Also because borrowers that are now up to their ears in financial troubles can't spent anymore money because there simply is none left to spend. This, in turn, takes a lot of liquidity out of the markets.

Also companies and corporations that have nothing to do with the current real-estate turmoil are drawn into the subprime crisis. If they want new capital from banks, they have to pay higher interest rates as an additional premium for risk. Or, taking things into extremes, they won't get a loan at all making it difficult for companies to grow, especially if a company wants to merge with another which often costs billion of dollars. This all drops out now thus, reducing earnings and profit outlooks.

And there's another, equally bad effect on all companies. whether attached to any real-estate or not. Hedge funds bought these converted mortgage bonds by the millions and very often using margins i. e. buying on borrowed money. And now they are sitting on a huge heap of losses and debt. In order to pay back those debts they have to sell stocks, commodities and other equity. And this obviously pushes prices down. Also stock prices. It's like a chain reaction.

And that's basically the reason why the markets around the world are in such shambles right now.

Back at the trading floor, for Bullish trading the best hope for continued long trading is in turnarounds and bounce backs. Rather than hold your breath and open new long trades why not take the Bearish pat and trade puts or stand on the side lines for a time?

Is my trading bias still Bullish? In the short-term no. In the mid and long-term, yes. So I'm definitely not opening any new long trades right now. But in the future, we'll be looking at plenty long trade opportunities. That's the good side of it all!

Yours in Successful Trading,

Ricky Schmidt

Gaba tea the japanese secret

:
Have you heard the buzz about GABA? The human enzyme that functions as a natural tranquilizer? GABA supplements are popping up in health food stores everywhere and consumer demand for GABA products is increasing every year.

With all this fanfare, little attention has been paid to GABA tea – an all natural source of GABA. GABA tea was discovered by Japanese scientists more than 20 years ago. They were attempting to preserve various foods and in the process discovered that tea leaves exposed to nitrogen increased the natural levels of GABA 10 fold.

Since then, GABA tea has become a standard part of the Japanese diet. The Japanese value GABA tea for its calming properties and it has been found to have numerous health benefits including lowering high blood pressure.

However, unlike that other Japanese gift to health - green tea - GABA tea has not caught on in the western world. This is puzzling to Su Chiu Kuei, the owner of a large GABA tea production facility in Taiwan.

“GABA tea has more health benefits than green tea,” says Su, “and is also more flavorful. By all rights it should enjoy more popularity than green tea.”

There is a lack of awareness about GABA tea in western countries. Even though GABA tea has been a staple of the Japanese diet for more than 20 years, most people in the United States have never heard of it.

That is unfortunate, because GABA tea is particularly suited to combating the #1 scourge of the American lifestyle – high blood pressure.

Numerous scientific studies have confirmed that GABA is an excellent treatment for high blood pressure. Because of its inhibitory function it causes the muscles lining blood vessels to relax which increases blood flow.

The same inhibitory function is responsible for GABA’s role in anxiety reduction and stress relief. GABA is increasingly being prescribed as a natural alternative to pharmaceutical tranquilizers. It has no side effects and is non-addictive.

Many Japanese include GABA tea as part of their daily diet. It is even served to children to stimulate mental alertness thus giving them an advantage in school.

What is GABA tea?

GABA tea is an all natural product. Su Chiu Kuei explains the procedure for making GABA tea:

“We start with high grade tea – premium quality tea has more glutamic acid which is the precursor to GABA. The tea is shaded for about 10 days prior to harvest – this has been found to increase levels of glutamic acid even further.

“The fresh tea is placed in stainless steel vacuum drums and the oxygen is removed and replaced with nitrogen. The tea leaves are exposed to this nitrogen-rich atmosphere for about 8 hours. The temperature must be kept above 40 degrees Celsius for the duration of the processing. This procedure produces the highest concentrations of natural GABA.”

Taiwan is an important supplier of GABA tea to Japan. Not only does Taiwan produce some of the best tea in the world, it also has the facilities and technicians for making GABA tea. The Japanese government has strict standards on GABA tea, and the GABA tea produced in Taiwan meets or exceeds these standards.

How does it taste?

According to Huang Tien Ming, a well-known tea expert in Taiwan, most people are surprised by the taste of GABA tea. “It is quite different from other tea, although there are similarities to black tea.” The initial surprise, though, quickly turns to enthusiasm as the tea has a pleasing taste and can be enjoyed either hot or cold. “Everyone I’ve served it to has come to enjoy the refreshing taste,” says Huang.

A man a woman stranded on a deserted island

Imagine the scene, a man & a woman stranded on a desert island with the sun beating down, and you did it on purpose!!

Such was the joy of a vacation to a place called Los Roques Venezuela. It is almost like a Pacific atoll, except it is at the bottom end of the Caribbean Sea, some 80 miles north of Caracas, and easily reached by plane, where you land on Gran Roque, which is where we stayed in a Posada.

For the uninitiated a Posada is a converted house or cottage, which takes paying guests in varying degrees of luxury at a corresponding price.

My wife and I chose the Posada Natura Viva, a very Italian Mediterranean Posada, right next to the beach. We chose it because of recommendation that we pick an Italian owned Posada as opposed to a locally owned one.

I have however diverted from the purpose of this account which is of course a Man & Woman stranded on a Desert Island with the sun beating down on us. In truth it was arranged by the aforementioned Posada Natura Viva, and so far as the sun beating down, they also supplied us with beach umbrellas, table and chairs, gazebos and beach towels.

Just close your eyes, and imagine a tiny spit of an island no more than 50 paces wide, one hundred paces long, in fact smaller than my garden at home. Imagine warm clear turquoise water, where you could sit in it like it was a bath, and drink a cool beer, feeling it was your own private island

I suspect they are some of the most important things to take if you are to be stranded on a desert island, even if was only for a day!! I should add the Posada also supplied a packed lunch, thermos with cool drinks, even if we did have to bring our own beers!!

Anyway this I suspect is what the Caribbean was like before us tourists arrived in our thousands.

It was fortunate we remembered our sunblock and high factor sun creams because apart from the shade that was supplied for us, there is none at all.

This has to be one of the most beautiful places on this earth, in fact it’s almost like a dream, why not go and see it for yourself, and become the Man & Woman stranded on a Desert Island for a day!!

Dermabrasion for skin rejuvenation

:
If you are searching for solutions for your acne scars for a long time, dermabrasion is the perfect answer for removing your acne scars. Dermabrasion is an ablative surgery procedure, which physically abrades the epidermis and dermis of your skin in a controlled fashion using a fine wire brush or a diamond fraise.

Besides using the dermabrasion technique for your scars you can also go for it for removing your facial rhytids and for treating various other skin conditions troubling you. The ablation in a dermabrasion rejuvenates the skin by stimulating the production of new layers of skin.

As a surgery procedure dernabrasion needs a lot of care before and after. Preparing for dermabrasion surgery is as important as the actual surgery itself.

Preparing the skin before the procedure

Preparation for dermabrasion includes the application of ointments such as Retin-A to be applied to the area every night before going to bed.
In case you are prone to cold sores, the doctor may prescribe you a course of antiviral pills a few days before the dermabrasion surgery. You should not be taking Accutane for the past eighteen months, if you have so you will not be considered for the procedure. Similarly, dermabrasion cannot be performed for a minimum of 6 months, preferably up to 1 year, after taking oral isotretinoin. Its use needs to be stopped well before the surgery.

You need to tell your cosmetic surgeon about any herbal supplements that you may be taking as some of these supplements may interfere with anesthesia and cause problems during the surgery because of their blood thinning properties.
Even some over-the-counter vitamins can be hazardous to you, for example vitamin E, which reduces your body’s ability to clot blood. Similarly, you may have to discontinue the use of anti-depressants.

Just before the dermabrasion is performed for acne scars under anesthesia, your skin will be pretreated with an ice pack for 20 to 30 minutes and sprayed with the a liquid refrigerant. Most dermabrasion procedures for scar treatment are performed using local anesthesia with or without the sedative. Your cosmetic surgeon may also give you some medication.
As great care needs to be taken for dermabrasion before and after, a great degree of care is also needed while moving the diamond fraises or wire brushes and controlling the depth of the ablation.

Care after dermabrasion

Wrapping your skin with the bandage after the dermabrasion is an absolute priority. The dressing may need to be changed and sterile bandages and tape should be used every time. Your skin may start re-epithelializing after 5–7 days of proper post-operative dressings and care. Some residual erythema for up to 4 weeks is common which gradually subsides.

Risk and complication after the surgery can be avoided completely if you comply with pre - and post-operative medicines and meticulous wound care. A scab or crust forms over the treated area as it begins to heal. You face may itch as new skin starts to grow from beneath.

The ins and outs of bad credit home loans

Owning a home is part of the American dream. It’s also the biggest purchase that most of us will ever make, and because of that, almost everyone will be borrowing money to do it. Unfortunately, for many people that means a bad credit home loan, and that might be hard to get.

It’s simple. Imagine going to a bank and asking for $200,000. And then imagine that you have bad credit. You’re always behind on your bills, your credit cards are stretched to the limit – or you have no credit cards – and you have no collateral. Now try and imagine what the bank will say.

Having a home is a big part of the American dream, but having bad credit is a big part of the American reality. There are a lot of people with bad credit who want to buy homes, but how can they convince a bank or other lender to give them money if it’s clear they’ve never been able to pay their bills on time?

The first thing to do if you’re contemplating buying a home and you have bad credit is to try and establish good credit. Make sure you pay your bills promptly. If you don’t have a major credit card, get one, use it and pay the bills promptly. You’re trying to convince a lender that you can be trusted to pay back money you’ve borrowed. Next, you want to carefully check your credit score.

Your credit score is a history of all of your financial activity as it pertains to credit; in other words, how much and how often you have borrowed and how promptly you’ve paid it back. Credit scores are generated by three companies:Experian; Equifax and TransUnion, and you’re allowed one free credit report a year from each of these companies. If you’re thinking of borrowing for a house, check your credit report; it’s entirely possible that there are mistakes that could lower your score.

Now assume that you’re on your way to establishing credit (but you’re not quite there yet) and your credit report is accurate. The next step is to find someone who is willing to lend you money, and that is probably the easiest step of all. With so many Americans have bad credit, mortgage companies have responded by loosening restrictions on loans and almost all of them have special bad credit programs. Of course, these people aren’t giving the money away. You’ll still have to go through the application process and there are some criteria – loan-to-value ratio, debt-to-income ratio, and monthly income – that they will use to determine whether or not you are a good risk. However, don’t forget that if you have bad credit and a mortgage company is willing to talk to you, they want your business, so don’t be afraid to negotiate.

But what if the private mortgage companies and the banks turn you down? Are you out of options? Not at all. There are a lot of different ways you can get money for a house if you have bad credit. A good place to check is the Federal Housing Authority (FHA.) FHA loans have very generous conditions (the down payment can be as low as 3% or less), they are willing to help people with bad credit and they have various programs that offer excellent deals to professional people – police officers, teachers – to encourage them to become homeowners in the community where they work. Another good choice is Fannie Mae. This private company can make home loans easily available – even if you have bad credit – through their Expanded Approval Program.

Getting a bad credit home loan can take extra time, but it’s worth the effort. Interest rates are low and there are a lot of options. Don’t delay your dream.

Newcastle s beautiful bridge

Tyne Bridge is a stunning structure, which crosses the River Tyne and connects Newcastle with Gateshead. Ideas for the bridge began around 1864, as people thought that a new bridge would ease traffic congestion, as well as providing a new river crossing. However, the design process only seriously started to get underway in the early 1920s. Mott, Hay and Anderson were responsible for the bridge’s design, and the results were so impressive, they were later asked to design Edinburgh’s landmark Forth Rail Bridge.

Middlesbrough-based contractors, Dorman Long, began working on the bridge in August 1925, although it was a dangerous job for the workers. The brave workers were nicknamed 'spider men,' as they had to balance 80ft over the river and worked without the use of safety ropes and harness. However, despite the many risks involved, just one man, Charles Tosh, lost his life during the construction process.

By February 1928, construction was finished and a few months later, on 10 October 1928, King George V and the Queen officially opened Tyne Bridge. Thousands of spectators watched them as they drove over the bridge in their Ascot Landau and became the very first people to use the roadway.

The Bridge is an excellent example of a compression arch suspended-deck bridge. The most famous example of this type of bridge is the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which was built in 1932. It is often thought that the Tyne Bridge inspired the design of this bridge, although this is a myth as work actually started on the Sydney Harbour Bridge before the Tyne Bridge – it just took longer to complete due to its size.

By February 1928, construction was finished and a few months later, on 10 October 1928, King George V and the Queen officially opened Tyne Bridge. Thousands of spectators watched them as they drove over the bridge in their Ascot Landau and became the very first people to use the roadway.

When it was first built, the bridge was painted a distinctive green colour, which was specifically developed by the paint manufacturers, J. Dampney Co. of Gateshead. To commemorate the millennium, the bridge was once more painted in this superb colour.

After eighty years, Tyne Bridge still provides a service to the people of Newcastle and has arguably become the area’s most recognisable landmark. The 531ft steel structure is now renowned as one of the most remarkable feats of modern engineering and it continues to act as a proud reminder of Newcastle’s rich industrial past. In fact, the Tyne Bridge is so important to the people of Tyneside, the artist Chris Burden recreated it in miniature form for the opening exhibition at Gateshead’s innovative BALTIC art gallery in 2002.
